Bay De Noc.
Ice in both Bay’s has diminished to the point of being unsafe in all locations but still a problem for boaters. The only exception is the Escanaba River access site, ramps are in but a strong current may create some navigation problems.
A few anglers have been casting cranks from the shore off the mouth of the Escanaba Yacht Harbor looking for splake. None reported but some say there has been some catches in the area.
No anglers have reported from BBdN and all launches are blocked with ice. The ice seems to be fading fast. The Walleye opener is (as always) May 15.
