Got out from 8 til 1130 on Sunday. Started of the day right by setting up the second rod with spawn and before I could get my landing net rigged the rod was bent double. Got a 5 pounder. After that I knew I was done for the day. A couple of bites after that but that was it. It never fails get a fish on the first cast and you are doomed Great time out and met some cool people as usual. Decent action on the wall today until about 1000 then it shut down with one here and there.

Lots of boaters out with decent action trolling in the river. Some comedy on the water as boaters hitting each other and boats getting to close to the wall fishermen.

All fish caught on spawn. One nice guy gave me the last of his rainbow skein and it was instantly removes from the hooks. He even gave me a smaller brown as he didn’t need more fish.

Interestingly enough the one I caught was a female still with eggs. She was gorged on gizzard shad and small shiners.

I guess if you can find a school you can really clean up. Tempted to get my boat out there as I saw some really small rigs fully loaded to almost dangerous.

Fishing should be good for awhile still and if you have your boat ready you can have some real fun (Z-Man, hint, hint).

Maybe you can get Bola out there for some fun .

Gotta get the smoker fired up now.

Way to go Diesel. Been meaning to get out too, and you’re right…the main boat has been ready to go, but with limited time, have been opting to chase the eyes on the Wisconsin, in the Minnow. But we’re gonna have to get out to see if we can keep the productive adventures going . So why were boats smacking each other??Was it that crowded out there, or just not paying attention cuz they were too busy pulling in fish?

The report on the other site says it was Eric H. and some one getting their rod back that went over the side. There were a lot of boats dragging boards in the river that were too close for my liking. It was tight some times but no where near the chaos that you can see on the Rock. There was also some chunks of ice up to three feet wide floating back and forth with the current. Guys running on plane in the harbor as well asking for a repeat of the Titanic.

Looking forward to getting out there with ya. Maybe in a week or so.

By the way finally tried out that battery operated electric knife. What was I thinking leaving it in the box for so long. Sweet!!
