Had some major computer problems and have been down for a while. Lost most everything on the Computer but had saved this photo of my favorite fishing partner (my wife Jackie) as my desktop. Scott at Hidden Valley Computers (Colfax WI.) got me working again and saved this photo. I was hoping to put up a fishing report but will have to wait a couple of weeks. Hopefully the fish will cooperate. How busy will the lake be mid October and will the fish be done spawning? Two more questions do all the fish that spawn die and where do they go?

From what I understand, salmon always die after they spawn. After death, they are recycled and become food for other animals.

I just thought that would be a big smelly pile of dead salmon along the shorelines of the river and lake. I guess that all the residents must pick them up and they have a place to dispose of them. The sea gulls must have a feast.

Looks like our Crappie Queen has decided she wants biggher fish. VERY nice fish Jackie. Next year when we do the small BB/BS Day in Wisconsin I want you to be the Captain of the boat.

    Thanks, Bill
