It’s been slow the last 2 weeks with rough water and warm water temps, but we finally made it back out to 300 feet of water to get into some fish. It takes alot of line to reach these down 150-200 feet. The big green flasher with mirage fly was working the best down deep. Nothing happening in close for the salmon run yet, but a west wind or rain will turn that on.

Mmmmm…I can smell the smoker already.

What’s it going to be like in roughly three weeks.
Looks like I MAYBE coming that way?

A few fish are just starting to move in close. We did pick up a few nice kings, making a couple of passes close to the piers in the last 3 days. Most of the fish are out in the 250 -300 foot mark yet and the spawn is very tight. I would think about 2 weeks before the fish are thick in front of the piers, unless we get a strong west wind. Good Luck out on the water.
