After one morning of missing alot of fish, the next 5 trips have us stuck on a dozen fish a trip. Now, thats not bad except the other dozen or so, per trip that got away. The rainbows on the surface have been flying high and throwing alot of hooks, but the excitement is at a high level right now. A mix of kings, coho, rainbows, and a few lakers are hitting the cooler. The hunt for cooler water is starting, as the days are getting brighter and warmer. The orange and green spoons are the hot lures, on the surface and dipseys 6-8 passes back. The kings are on the bottom with white and boy-blue Jimmy flies working for them. Best depth was 45-85 feet of water.

We gage how much line is out by the number of times the line level crosses the reel. (Diawa Sealine or Penn Reels) Every time across is a pass. The general length on a full spool of line is 10 feet per pass. Each reel can be different with the amount of line, but its a estimate of how much line is let out.
