How is the smallmouth fishing up here in early august? Any good places to stay? If the wind is blowing can you get out of the waves? Any inland lakes in case blown off big water?

Virtually all the inland lakes in the UP have excellent Smallie populations as does the entire Green Bay shoreline…miles of untouched fishing!
Most all my Smallies come from inland lakes and rivers…Like this 21 inch 6 lber
