We finally got out this morning and came up 3 short of the limit. We missed our share of fish this morning out in the 270 foot mark, but the lake was beautiful and the fish were biting from the surface on down 180 feet. Orange spoons on top and green or white flasher flies down deep kept us going today. It’s starting out to be another record breaking catch year.
Keith: Are you starting to see any of the bigger 4 year olds show up yet?
Right now the 4 year old fish we are catching are in the 15 to 18 lb range average the largest for us was a 21lb king this year. There are large schools of bait fish so we anticipate those fish hitting the 25+ lb size by Aug. The kings are just eating machines and grow quickly. I did have a report of fish in the mid 20lb range being caught already and a 32lb king has already been brought in.
