We are seeing some nice coho action right now, which is generally early for us. A 2 1/2 hour short trip put 4 coho, 2 kings and a bow in the cooler. We hit the 150 foot mark and had fish on spoons and flasher flies. No patterns other that the fish are biting all over. The bait fish are thick and the fish are schooling around them. With Calm seas and fish all over, it made a great trip out on the lake.

Nice cooler of fish. Just wondering on what type of reels you use. I’ve used Penn model 209’s trolling on Mich and was wondering how the Penn model 9 would hold up? It’s a bit smaller and has less line capacity but I was wondering if the drag would be good enough. Thanks much for any info and the reports I’m gonna get over there camping one of these days.
