A good mix of salmon and trout are being caught in 10-45 feet of water off of Two Rivers. I am doing well with the green alewife Raider spoons and orange Pro Kings for kings and rainbows. Water temps are still in the low 40’s but there are alot of bait fish in the area and that is holding alot of fish. Alot of the kings are full of alewifes. The browns are winding down in close and the smaller lakers are picking up in the 45 foot depth. A few coho have been caught, but the nice 10-15lb kings for this time of year are where we are keying in on.

Thanks Capt. I plan on getting over that way some this summer. I purchased a couple of downriggers and gathering some different baits to use now. Do you use flies at all this time of the year or is it mainly a spoon bite? How about J-plugs? I could sure use some help at gathering some of the basic items to get me started. Thanks for the update from the Two Rivers area.

Right now I’m working the spoons more, as soon as the water warms up I’ll switch into more fly-flasher rigs. The tighter pattern of spoons out immitates a full school of bait fish and we are getting multiple fish on at once when we get into the school of kings. Off of Two Rivers its best to set up with a mix of lures with all 5 species of fish hitting the the same areas. J-plugs are making a big come back, they are heavly used toward the end of the season for the big king in shallow, but the rainbows like the silver bullets on the surface. Good Luck out on the Pond.
