Launched around 10 a.m., fished for approx. 2 hrs out to about 45 ft deep w/nothing. At noon we had 3 on simultaenusly & it was on for the next 2 hrs.
We ended up going 8 for 16 on Coho 2 of the lost were lost right at the boat by errored net handling the rest got off before we could get them close enought to knock off LOL. Anyway, we were all alone never saw another fishing boat and we stayed out until 4 p.m. We fished primarily straight out from the pier mouth maybe a shade north but not far no deeper than 45 ft of water dragging Rapala J-11 (Firetiger), spoons (orange/green & clown color),Rattin Rogue(Firetiger) ran 2 lures on slide divers w/success, the rogue & the J-11, just down no more than 5-6 feet. Ran everything from 40-75 back had success in long & short lengths. All good size Coho. At one point we had 4 on at once. We ran 7 lines out total none on riggers. GPS marks I had showed a “triangle” shaped area where we had all of our action depth was from 30-45 ft in that area. Beautiful weather & hot action made this trip another great start to the season for us!
