concentric cloud rings

    This afternoons Modis Today shows a strange set of concentric cloud rings appearing to radiate from Travers Bay. Any explanations?

    As the Aqua satellite view clears on my tablet, these clouds show up closer to Door Co.WI but still radiating from Michigan. They are actually ARCs rather than full circles. Clear cut case of Go Figure?
