Hitting the harbor this Friday and Saturday. Pretty excited for it! I didn’t think I’d have to ask this so early, but with this cold snap, is McKinley iced in? I rather launch McKinley but will do the river launch if needed.
Hopefully will have positive reports!
Wondering the same thing myself. Might make it out there one of the two days. Just got off of the lakefront cam, and seems that McKinley is open. Looks like the lot has been plowed. Can’t quite tell if the launch piers are still in, though. If not, helps to have someone drop you and your boat into the water, and then pick them up at one of the ladders, or run your boat up onto the concrete if you can or want to.

Just called the marina office. Piers are still in, but she didn’t know when they will be pulled, as that’s handled by a different department. There is a bit of skim ice in the launch area, but still launchable in her opinion.
One thing led to another, and never did make it out this long weekend. Phoyem, did you go and if so, how did you do out there?
