I’m coming into Milwaukee on Thursday to do some salmon fishing. I’ve never been over there before in the summer. Which bait stores can I go to for salmon lures and advice? I plan on using my boat (Lund ProV 18′ tiller), but fishing mostly in the harbors with lighter rods and reels.
Any other advice you can give me would be appreciated, as well.

Can’t help ya on a specific bait shop, but if the bite is on a lot of guys are using this process if you are looking for fishing in close. You even find guys out in kayaks.

It really depends on which direction you are coming from. Bait shops in milwaukee have really become few and far between but there are some around. None in the downtown area of course. Let us know where you are coming from. The Man’s Mall in Germantown (Fleet Farm) used to have a good selection of gear but they are getting picked through.
And watching the kayak guys is pretty fun. They seem to have a blast.
I had a good experience at Joe’s off Lincoln somewhat near downtown Milwaukee.
