Anyone been in the harbor with a boat lately? Watching the weather but thinking about coming down this weekend. Thanks!

Funny… I live 15 minutes away, and all I can think of is it getting just a little warmer to head to Redwing, and you want to come this way.

There are guys posting stuff here and there on that Lake Link site (sorry)

You may find this helpful… couple different cameras you can control and scan much of the harbor.

This weekend should be good, believe it or not there are boats out today…not me. I did check the launches this am. The county launch at the end of National Ave is as always steep with a narrow cut-out for a trailer and a one foot high ice berm. Harbor is open, but still watch for ice flows as the river is still shedding ice. There are lots of open water areas, just watch and go slow. A better launch is just to the south at South Shore marina. It’s also a county launch just south of the Hoan bridge. It’s east of Superior on Nock St. Much less steep , minor ice berm, will disappear with any warmth, and lots of parking. You can even stay inside the break wall heading north to the harbor. Fishing has been good and with the hopefully nicer weather coming this weekend just follow the boats to the hotspots. I will be out either Friday or Saturday, look for the black gold Tuffy. Also there is a bait shop right in the parking lot.

I live in beautiful southeastern Oak Creek shaded in the morning by the shadows of the WE Energies power plant.

Sounds good! Thanks for the info, especially about the ramps, much appreciated. We’ve been fishing pool 4 most of the winter and looking for something different, I guess you kind of take it for granted when you can make it down there for a day trip most weeks. We’ll either be in a camo 620 tiller or a blue 621 if we see you we’ll cruise by and say hi. Thanks again!

Just bring your walleye gear and some light colored blades.
    You’ll have a ball!

Browns are doing well, bit scattered, but they around. The rise in river levels has steelhead starting to move up the tribs.
