What are the chances a guy can fish southern Lake Michigan for the first time along all of the rocks and catch some small mouths??? Any secrets about locating fish on that end of the lake?

    Thanks!

The extreme southern end of the lake in Indiana waters. Seems like there are some guide services for that area that have some nice fish posted on their sites. What about salmon and lake trout??? How deep does a guy have to fish for those?

THere’s huge smallmouth in those areas, and I’ve caught a lot of early season cohos near Gary, In. Sounds like you need to hire a guide to get you started.

I have fished Lake Erie with a guide, so a bit of the Erie techniques I know, but that might not ahve anything to do with Lake Michigan. How do dragging tubes work for small mouth on Lake Michigan?

Dragging tubes could/should work great for L. Michigan!!! You just gotta get them in front of the bass!!! You can learn the better spots on your own over time or check out a guide to shorten the learning curve… Or check out interenet sites that are more geographically local… Good luck!!!
