Looking back on the 2012 fishing season on the Willie Bee, we had a surprising early start with the king salmon fishing being excellent in May which is normally early for them to show up, but we had a lot of limit and near limit catches during that month. June did not disappoint, as the fishing remained strong with the king and coho salmon, and rainbow trout. We did bring in a 17 ½ lb lake trout in June and some 20 plus lb king salmon. July and August provided some, cooler near the lake action, with most of the midwest getting hit with a heat wave we enjoyed fishing with people from across the country looking for a fun adventure while vacationing in the area and getting a little cool down from the heat while catching some nice coolers full of fish. The weather cooperated this year and kept the fishing very steady all year long. The salmon run in September was brief but we were able to bump out deeper and found the younger fish later in the day. A number of groups from out of the country, Brazil, Holland, Philippines, and Czech Republic all got to enjoy some fishing on Lake Michigan.
Another fun season behind us and we are planning for next years fishing already.
Thanks to Everyone that fished on the Willie Bee and hope to See You next year.
