I arrowed a doe yesterday so I’m finished hunting until later in the season when the bucks decide to move. So….I’m thinking of taking one last weekend fishing trip. What’s the bite like in Green Bay/Door County area this time of year? I’ve fished it a bit in the spring when most fish are shallow. Are the walleye/smallies tough to pin down now??

If it’s a tough bite, my alternate plan is to fish Milwaukee for Browns.

Smallies around the reefs! I haven’t been up there for a couple weeks, but it should still be very consistent. Past years I have hit it until mid october when we had browns and chins mixed in.

I’ve been in the Harbors down here – Kenosha, Racine, Milw and the fish are there. (They don’t have anywhere to go – No water in the rivers) That has provided plenmty of entertainment in the last couple weeks while I’ve been working down there

Fishing has been a bit of a struggle in the north end of Green Bay for the past couple weeks. Fished out of Marinette last week and covered lots of Water from MM, Green Island, Pensaukee with Cats and Whitefish but no Walleyes and very little showing up on sonar ( 2 D as well as side scan) A week or 2 of the cold weather will bring them in in numbers into Little bay deNoc.

Is the Door still full of tourists this time of year, or has that slowed down?
