We left the dock at the crack of 8:00 a.m. with a drizzle and more rain coming on the radar. The northeast wind had already bumped things up and we headed out to 80 feet of water straight out of Two Rivers. Jill Gleeson from GoPinkBoots.com,(She forgot to bring the Pink Boots out on the boat) Rebecca McCormick a travel writer from AK, Jason Ring from the Manitowoc and Two Rivers Visitors Center and Ed Moes from Crappie.com were all ready for some fishing action. We angled into the wave and the fish started biting, we reached 200 feet of water and had a coho, some rainbows, and a king. Turning back with the wave the fish action kept going with the dipseys with orange spoons, the riggers with twinkys and minnows, and the pumphandles all catching fish. Jason got his first big king salmon and the ladies got to work in a double headed along with a number of rainbows. Ed did get to hold the king he caught and we all had a great day of fishing. The trip only lasted 2 1/2 hours dock to dock so it was some great action, before we had to get in and move on to the next travel destination.
