With the weather cooperating very well this weekend we spent lots of time on the water. Once again chasing smallmouth bass we averaged 40 to 50 fish a day. With fish being at numerous depths we found our most consistent action around 25 fow. The real key for us was finding areas in 25 fow that had rock meeting sand.Dont put the boats away yet lots of time for open water fishing with some of the best still to come. Good luck and as always be safe.

Nice fish… I’m curious to the length/weight of those Smallies? Its tough to guess from the pictures.

I couldn’t agree more. Not trying to knock anyone but those pics make it impossible to tell whether the fish were 17″ or 20″ long. Although the first pic does look to be a very nice fish. Either way, I’m sure they were fun to catch.

    Thanks for the update, Paul.

I had the chance to fish and film a smallie show with Paul this summer… the size of the smallies in his area were out of this world.
