Fishing Near Shawano

    Hi Everyone
    I am new to Shawano, and I was wonderng what the fishing is like in the surrounding area? I hear there is a dam in town and there are some lakes NE of town. Just looking for some ideas/ people interested in going out fishing

    What are you looking for? Shawano Lake offers quite a bit with panfish, LM Bass and musky fishing. Wolf river offers some decent smally fishing. Bay of Green Bay offers everything super sized, as does the rivers that dump into it on the west side.

    Along with the above very good selections, ‘tween the Wolf River and Shawano Lake, there’s a lot of good fishing right there to keep you busy for a while!!! In addition the upper Wolf has a tremendous stretch for trout fishing as well!!!

    Thanks guys! I have been doing my homework and you have reaffirmed my findings! I am very excited for freeze up so I can dust off the fraibil!
