Well I have a boat in storage and one being rigged so I am left with my Jon (not complaining-love old Jon)Got a 55lb trolling motor and a 3hp johnson sea horse. Would love to carry in or somehow get away from the big boats and walleye guys. I have a very expansive view of the ‘metro’-would go up to Wright Co. or down to Rice Co. Would like #s with a chance at something bigger. C&r for anything bigger than 2lb. Or all C&R if I’m feeling lazy.
    Thanks

Twitch a white fluke in shallow backwaters for the next week or so. Just like you would for Bass.

inner city lakes are no gas motors so you could use the trolling motor on any of those lakes and not deal with any “big” boats

Would like some steady action-the city lakes do not have good numbers, size is another story(shhhh)-A big backwater might be good but the main river would put the push on my little 3 popper, which would maybe be funny to everyone but me! I could carry in at the backwater and stay there. PM some ideas.

I always had luck for pike on steiger lake. Smaller lake catch and release only, and not a crowded lake. It’s been a couple years sense i lived down there, but I wouldn’t think it has changed.

If I was in your position I’d be finding good northern populations on the lakefinder site, then narrow it to lakes that don’t have or stock walleye, then whichever has a landing on the northern end.

If you’re looking for numbers head to Big Marine in Scandia. You can catch them cast after cast although the size probably isn’t what you’re looking for.

    Tim,

You might try lake nokomis in so. mpls. It was stock with tiger muskies by the DNR.

here is a y-Tube link to someone fishing them.

might make for a fun afternoon. Good luck yay

If numbers are what you’re looking for, I would stick around Annandale. Could try a few different small lakes in an hour, although I’m guessing catching pike won’t be a problem in any of the lakes. Chance of something decent is there, not going to bring home a wall mounter.
