Metro ice fishing

    I recently just moved to the metro area. I am looking to get on a good/decent crappie, panfish bit. I was just wondering if anyone could help me out.I am not ask for any secret spots or anything but I would just like to be lead in the right direction such as a lake and where on the like I cold find some fish and what I should be using. Any information will help thanks. And I am will to drive up to a hour to find a good lake

    If you are willing to drive an hour, I would hands down say Lake Minnetonka. I haven’t fished it yet this year, but I would recommend to pick any random bay and treat it like it’s own lake. Stop at Wayzata Bait on your way there and they can give you a few bays to try and depths to try. Where to access or anything to look out for. Every time I have ever ice fished that lake I have caught a fair amount of sunnies and crappies.
