Sometime in the early 2000s we had a mild winter and a very warm February. I remember plants in bloom on the patio at work. I estimated if we had 1 more week of that weather many lakes would have opened. Well, it turned cold in March, the coldest weather of the winter. By the end of March the lakes had the thickest ice of the winter and I think we had a very late ice out.

In 2012 it was 80 degrees on St Patrick’s Day. That was only 10 years ago.

Could be a multi day snow event coming midweek here.

We were on rainy river in a small tin boat all by our selves that day and was the best bite I’ve ever been on in my life
