Please release a side entry model next year…I’m tired trying to navigate over holes, flashers, camera cords, etc in big winter boots everytime I want to get out of my Otter Cabin… I love your fish houses, and I don’t want to move to a Frabill next year, but i’m sold on getting a side entry model next year…

That is a great feature. I have not seen one in person to see exactly how and how well it works, but it sure beats having to step over everything.

Assuming you bank your flip over.

Instead, add grommets and weights to hold your skirt down.

Then when you want to get out, you flip your house up, and step out the side.

That’s what I’ve done to my one man, works like a charm.

Do you have any pictures of how you added weights to the skirt? I have heard many people do this, but I have never actually seen how its done. Do you notice that it takes more or less to heat the house? Any drafts or problems with holes freezing?

Add grommet. Attach weight. Pretty simple.
It’s about like banking your skirt.

I run a sunflower in my one man, so heat is never an issue, usually Windows open
