    Merry Christmas and real good message on the ice.

    I think one of the best messages about ice safety I heard on the news is to think about what people are putting our valuable resources, i.e. first responders through when they make bad decisions about ice. Our firefighters, DNR lake responders, police, etc. are such a valuable resource and as I type this right now on Christmas there are many on duty to keep us safe. They have a lot to do and I hate to think of all the time and resources that get used up when someone makes a bad decision. From what I can tell the majority (if not all) IDO’ers are very smart about ice, and I hope the word gets spread around to those that ignore common sense and ice reports and venture out anyway.

    Hope all had a Merry Christmas. Thoughts and prayers go out for all that we have a safe season on the ice. Also hope all have a great and blessed New Year.
