I have a mercury 115xs 2020 and having problems with it cracking on water all I get is a clicking sound. But when I get it back to house and getting motor flushed out it cranks right up. Any suggestions on what will be causing it?
Would not worry, its under warranty bring it in let the dealer fix it, then you will have your answer. But probably a starter/solenoid issues by the sounds of it just clicking and not starting. But with out proper troubleshooting could be many things. Good luck, let us know what they find.
Anything different with the battery between water and home? Maybe battery is just a hair under what it needs to turn it over when on the water? Do you have a different battery to try? bigcrappie is probably right but this could be an easy test
I will wholeheartedly second what bigcrappie mentioned, just bring it back to the dealer! If it is somehow not covered I would raise a stink with Mercury directly.
