Gave the crappies a break, and chased some gills for a few quick trips over the weekend.
Friday sure had a brutal cold wind, but the silly easy fishing certainly made up for it. Took a limit home in under an hour for a fry, releasing a number between 9 and 10″.
Saturday afternoon still had fish active, but more smaller fish. Caught around 30 in a couple hours with a few smaller crappies mixed in, releasing everything.
My son Ben had been sick since Thursday, and wanted to get out badly on Sunday after finally being able to keep breakfast down. We went out for couple hours in early afternoon, and had to work harder to pick out the active fish. Was fast enough action to keep him interested, and we took home 6 that Ben caught between 8 and 9.” I finally remembered to bring the camera with me!
