Steady action continues on Lake Menomin. While most of Wisconsin was watching the Packers Sunday afternoon, Dad and I practically had the lake to ourselves. The bite wasn’t phenomenal but with weather like that, it’s tough to complain. Trolling, pitching, and vertical jigging all took fish. Leadcore with firetiger shadraps and a 1/8oz B-Fish-N-Tackle TigerBarb Jig w/ a minnow worked best. 9-12fow was the best for crappies and 11-14fow for the walleyes.

    See ya out there

Be that way! Why aren’t you waiting for the flood to be over like the rest of us.

    Nice fish, Pete.

Thanks for coming over and showing me what I’m missing when too busy… Oh well, less than 2 months to ice.

Nice Pete…I’ve been getting away from the river too. Plenty of fish to be caught elsewhere.

I heard from “mr. bluegill” last night-sunday was off the hook! Looks like I’ll be on the lake both days this weekend and most likely Friday afternoon-if the river magically drops like a ton of bricks I can always modify my plans.

Another few weeks and I plan to spend some real quality time on the river.

Lots of pike caught. Trolling and pitching alike. No big ones tho, largest went mid 20″.
