Record Crappie on Menomin?

I had someone tell me that there was a 4.5 pound crappie caught on Lake Menomin. If true this would be a state record. Supposedly the person he heard it from has a picture of the fish. This should be big news I would think, but haven’t heard a thing.

Anyone else hear anything about this?

That would be one sweet freakin fish.

I can’t even IMAGINE a 4.5# crappie… and to think they were once probably almost common.

It is a fish story going around. I heard the same thing a month or so ago. A pic was then posted here on IDO and it other guys had seen the picture everywhere. Im sure someone will post the link to the recent post.

Menomin is putting out plenty of nice crappies,,,,,but not that big.

Boy, don’t I feel dumb. I recall seeing that second link and just didn’t put it together. Next time I see him, I’ll let him know he’s been punked.
