    HOW FAR UP STREAM CAN A BOAT GO SAFELY? I’VE BEEN A MILE OR SO BEYOND THE 94 BRIDGE. JUST THINKING OF NEXT WEEKEND, ANY INFO HELPS.

    Welcome to IDO!

    You should be safe traveling all the way up to just before the Cedar Falls dam where there are a few rapids. There are a few places the channel is deeper than others, just use your head and you’ll be just fine

    I agree with Pete. I have been fishing that lake and river for years and have made hundreds of trips all the way up to the rapids below the Cedar Falls dam. Good luck!
