Hit the lake for a mid-day session. the best action I found was perch. Using waxies in 16 ft of water. I was fishing about a foot off the bottom. Not a fast bite but consistent.

Someday I just may take up the sport of ice fishing – you guys give great updates!! Very specific – neat stuff!!
February 2, 2004 at 9:39 pm #291211I also fished Menomin this weekend. Hit the ice for while on Sunday. Fished many different spots in depths ranging from 6′ to 14′. Action was pretty slow. Did find some perch in 14′ of water, but nothing fantastic. Oh well, at least I had a little action. Perch were 6″ to 2′ off the bottom. I sure wish I could locate some of those big perch that call Menomin home. Talked to a few other people & they also reported the action to be slow right now.
