open water

    About 1/4 of the lake is open, with a few spots you could shore fish. The river is on the rise again also. So with the current and if we get rain today, the lake will probably open up. Get those crappie sicks ready!

    Yep I saw the north end was open. I thought I saw a boat up that way also. Not sure if the landing is open by the fish and game yet? Crappies sound good.

    The east side is pretty much open. Lots of fishable water out there. What ice is left won’t last long. Who’s going out to find those transition crappies?

    well i hope to be out soon but im not going to gaurantee results,this will be my first time trying menomin for spring crappies so any pointers would be appreciated.

    Looks like the lake is ice free as of yesterday. Look for the fish to be staging in the deeper areas near the shallow bays.
