Action should be hot this weekend

Fishing is really picking up on the local pond. Good numbers of pike on the main lake trolling suspended cranks. The white bass are going crazy, chasing minnows or crawlers trolled on spinners. The eye bite is a little slow for the times I have been out. With the water clearing up and the temps dropping that should change soon. I will be back on the water after I return from LBNC.

Good luck at the FLW Championship Don. The bite is getting hot down this way too [Lake Zumbro] as the whitebass/stripers are very hot and bullgills and crappies starting to get hot too. From now till ice up is an very good time to be on the water and I know you will get your days in on the bite. Take care Bud. Keep the reports comin.
    Thanks, Bill

I’m gonna fish it for eyes this weekend. Should I try the base of main lake structure with live bait or troll cranks on the flats? Not too familiar with the lake.

I will try to get you some solid info later today. It has been slow for eyes the past few days. The best i have done is trolling spinners and crawlers. There is not alot of structure other then fish cribs. (which can be good with slipbobbers) I would start off with spinners close to the river channel that runs through the lake. Cranks can produce but last time out the pike were going nuts. You may want to try a small floating crank on a 3way.
