Lake Menomin rookie

    I have never fished lake Menomin before and am looking for advice on walleye fishing the lake around labor day. Can they be found casting shallow cranks over weeds,trolled,or live bait on points and dropoffs?

    Both trolling or jigging can be productive this time of year. If the water temp dips below 65 I would stick with jigs. Both hair tipped with bait or jigs with power minnows work well. Look for area that drop off fast. For trolling, both cranks and spinners work well on the main lake. Usually a good eye bite along with bonus perch and smallies. let me know if you have any other questions.
