    Anyone see that guy who is living on the homemade raft in the middle of Menomin?

    Coot, Are you sure thats not one of those Lions Club cars that floated up to the top? That is totally bizzarr! I will be watching these posts for up dates. MIKE

    How big of a raft is it. I drove by the lake last night and didn’t spot him? Where abouts did you see him and his raft?
    Does he walk out to it?

    We talked to him the other night while we were trolling near the raft. Asked him why he was doing it (figured there must be some story behind it) said he was doing it because it was a free place to live. Said he plans to stay as long as he can or until it gets too cold. Couldn’t hear all his answers over the kicker motor. He even has some tomato plants growing on the raft. My wife didn’t believe me either, so I had to take her by the lake the other night. You can see the raft when you cross the bridge in downtown Menomonie. It is in the middle of the lake out from the cemetary. Was gonna take some pictures while fishing last night, but forgot the camera.

    The raft is just west of the little in-let bridge that feeds into the cemetary bay,on the main lake, north of camps point, He’s even grow some vegatable plants on his raft, He said he’s going to live there until the weather gets really bad, he also told me he was hit by a sail boat, thursday night.

    I bet it was a little chilly sleeping on that raft last night! All the wind we had yesterday moved him a little bit. My buddy saw him trying to paddle out last evening in the wind. Said it took him quite a while, as the wind kept swinging the canoe.

    I was on the lake today and no raft in sight. Must have got too cold, or the voices he was hearing told him to call it quits!
