I was at the Anglers as Role Models event on Lake Menomin a few weeks ago and wanted to post this ever since.
There’s a no wake zone starting a few blocks before the landing. I made a comment to a couple dock hands there that Don Hanson always slow down to No Wake speed at least a block before he was to the markers. The boys said “Yeah, he always does that, not sure why.” I’m guilty as many of us are, of racing to the No Wake marker and slowing down…just after the marker.
I think this is one example of a true “Anglers as Role Models” and would like to commend Don for this and his other “above standard” fishing and boating ethics. You made an impression on me Don…Thanks!
PS I bet your “other” shirt says Lund on it!
