Sorry for missing last week-must have had bluegills on the brain!
Week 6 found us back on Tainter–which again also found us with nasty weather: big high pressure means slow bites on tainter, may of us found (1), as in “one” and that guy being on the short side of 15 inches. The livebait guys (me included) struck out and the trollers won–congrats to the guys finding fish during a TOUGH bite!
Week 7 found us back on Menomin, 13 boats for the night, and LOTS of fish caught! Man, Memomin has been good to us, and the variety of fish is tough to beat! Many boats caught walleyes, along with Woody catching a 10 inch bluegill on a slowdeath rig-just ATE the thing! Once again, trolling cranks was the ticket–for us, pulling cranks “Shooter’s speed” as Tim would say did the job. Livebait did pull in some fish with slowdeath rigs and jigging bringing fish to the boat. Nice to see everyone have such a blast with this league, great bunch of guys and some great input on how to make next year be even better! For those that still want to fish, we have two more weeks left for this year: Monday 11th on Tainter(please Lord, give us a nice day!) and Monday the 18th on Menomin!
See everyone next Monday night!!!
