Memorial weekend

    I will be heading up to Rainy lake for the first time over memorial weekend looking to catch walleyes. We are staying on the Minnesota side. I was wondering what are some good tactics this time of year to catch walleyes up there?

    Headed up tomorrow to stay at the east end…can’t freakin wait.

    Hard to top a jig n minnow for the last 5 years I’ve fished this holiday weekend in that area. If the sun is out a couple days I’ll be tossing flat raps into shallow water rock piles w/wind. Little concerned about rising water and temps, but who cares…we’ll hammer ’em…it just might not be as easy to locate.

    Been there twice in late May. Fish shallow rocks anywhere wind blows in. It don’t have to be much wind either. Jig with bait or plastic works or suspending stick baits. You should stick a bunch.
