I’m looking to order a new ultrex and I’m trying to decide on the transducer for it.
I’m thinking of having the SI/DI transducer on the trolling motor.
Has anyone any experience with this settup.
I thought it would be nice to see what is next to the boat from the front instead of after the boat is past.
I had my SI/DI ducer on my trolling motor at first but then moved it back to the console so I could use it while idling around. But now I’m realizing I need it up at the front also to mark structure I come across while I’m on the trolling motor. If both your units has SI it’s not a big deal. Just means I need to get another SI unit. 
Turning the head of the TM can mess with your image obviously too so keep that in mind.
