Does anyone actually know if they are going to come out with a new mega live transducer within the next year or so? It just makes sense to me since they dropped the price of the original one.

if so, it would likely get premiered on KVD’s boat at the Bassmaster Classic this upcoming weekend or Icast2024 in Vegas in July…

For what it’s worth, I stopped by the Humminbird booth at the sports show last Friday and talked to the 2 reps there. They did say late summer to early fall they thought a new transducer was coming out. My next question was… will it work with my G3 and G4 units and they said that was the plan.

Information was released today in Amsterdam mega live 2.0 is coming in the spring along with humminbirds new model xplore. Unfortunately it is not compatible with the helix model. It’s on mega live Facebook groups and crappie fishing forums, guys are upset and rightfully so.

I saw the same post . Add another nail in the coffin for bird in my opinion . Helix’s id venture to guess were 70 percent of their sales and were basically told to pound sand if they want the new live .

I upgraded my graphs to be what I thought would be compatible once 2.0 came out, but unfortunately that is not the case.

I am curious to see how the pricing and performance compares to the Garmin LVS34. With the sales Garmin is offering its looking like Mega 2.0 could be $1000 more expensive for a bundle, so it better have a performance advantage.

What did you want them to do? The new tech requires quad processors and they eliminated all the dongles. The Helix series has been in existence 4 generations. I cant think of another series of fish finders (Aside from FL8) that has existed longer than Helix.

This information has been known for almost a year. Clearance sales and discounts reflect inventory reduction to prepare for it. So this should not be a surprise to anyone.

MegaLive 2.0 details have leaked, expect the official announcement in a week or so…sounds like the 2.0 unit itself will again be $1,500, BUT it will require the next generation of head units…
