Mega 360 on a Terrova

This does not come with a Terrova mount. I have seen some aftermarket ones where I can attach it to the Terrova. Do the after market ones work or do most people just use the universal mount if you have a Terrova. Thanks

Mega 360 will not mount on the Terrova. You will need to use the universal mount and put it over the side and use that way. You tube it, I am doing the exact same thing on my boat when I get the transducer. Good luck.

You can get mounts for the Terrova the one you do not want to mount Mega 360 is the Ulterra the lift mechanism cannot take the extra weight.

Has anyone tried the aftermarket mount on a Terrova?

I have my 360 mounted on a terrova.
The mount I am using is from cornfield crappie. It works very well.

I see the options for different mounts for the fortrex, ultrex and universal. Is the actual transducer itself the same??

Yes the transducer is the same.
When I bought mine I ordered a universal one. I then bought a mount from cornfield crappie to put it on my terrova.

One thing I want to mention that I didn’t realize when I bought the mega 360. I was thinking that the SI still read off the original transducer, but that isn’t the case. The Y cable is just for the 2D sonar. This for me with a universal mount is a PITA because many times the type of fishing I am doing isn’t conducive to the 360 and just wanted to use SI, and now I have to swing the 360 ducer into the water. If you have a trolling motor mount it isn’t an issue.

What kind of mount did you use to attach the transducer to the shaft?

All RAM mount stuff. Depth collar is same as used in 360 ice fishing kit.

Where did you find those ram mounts. I would like to duplicate that

How does it hold up running in ruff water? I bought a cornfield crappie mount but I don’t think i can use the cover with it so I haven’t mounted it yet.
