I have a new to me 2019 Ranger 520L that has a Helix 10 g2 in the front and a 12 g3 on the console. I also just got a mega 360 that I wanted use on the front but the 360 won’t work on the g2 unit per humminbird. It will work on the 12 g3. Humminbird said the 360 will work via the 12 but networked. How do I connect it to the 12 then network it to the 10 in the front? Humminbird also said it can’t go through a networking box. I don’t see how that’s possible to connect it to the front without a network box? Also the 12 has a Si and Di transducer connected to it. Anyone know how I can do this?

You do need to have them networked. The G3 will connect directly to the 360 transducer. The G2 can then display the 360 via the network.

Note that your G3 can’t accept any other transducer input if the 360 is attached, but it will be able to display the transducer connected to the G2.

Humminbird said I can Y in the 360 to the Di transducer but they said the Si would have to be off the 360. I’m have tempted to switch the 12 to the front and just run the 360 and Di off it and then have the 10 on the console and run the Di and Si off of it and network in the 360 if needed

That all makes sense to me. BBC Boards has a really good Humminbird discussion board if you have questions about it. I ended up with a G2 and a G3 at the bow, and a G2 at the console, basically just so I can run the MEGA 360 (but I obviously owned two G2 units when I bought the 360). The other units, when they display side imagining or 360, for some reason aren’t as clear as the unit that has the transducer connected to it. Just something to be aware of – based on my experience, I’d recommend that your transducer be connected directly to the unit you plan to use as your primary display of that transducer’s returns.

I guess that makes sense not being as clear when directly connected to the units. That’s why I’m thinking I might swap the 12 to the bow and 10 to the console for now. And hook the 360 and down image to the 12 g3 and the side image and down image to the 10 on the console. I’m guessing I won’t get mega image on the side scan but that’s alright. As long as I get mega on the 12 it will be alright

You can only hook the M360 to a G3 unit and it will only display SI from the M360. You will loose the ability to connect to the SI on the Transom. If you move the mega SI to the bow and move the mega DI to the consol you will only have DI and 2D on the consol except you can subscribe to the SI from the M360 on the bow.
