Meat Slicer Blade Sharpening

I have a small, cheap meat slicer (motor-driven with a disc blade and slide) for thin, repetitive slicing. Over the years, the blade has gotten pretty dull, which is resulting in having to push harder and it moves the unit. Pretty unsafe and frustrating. Anyone know a place that can sharpen a disc blade? I do have a Worksharp Ken Onion style knife sharpener which I like, but I’m not sure I could effectively rotate a blade like this through it.

Seems like a stone would work with the unit spinning on the machine? If done right i would imagine it only taking seconds. Just spit balling. Wish I had a slicer.

What one did you get that has a built in sharpener?

I have an LEM 7.5 inch that I’m happy with. Blades are also readily available if needed.

    Buy a new blade

I’ll look harder but this is an old Gander Mountain brand slicer, which means it was an cheap import they slapped their label on. The bushing inside the blade is built into the blade, so not sure a replacement blade would be easily found.

I’d try suzuki’s idea. If that isn’t the answer, by a new blade of a LEM unit.
