Thanks for all the great feedback.

I’m still not 100% sure but I’m leaning towards the LEM #22 1 hp grinder? Not sure that the stuffing tubes work to good tho as I have not seen much for reviews.

I do have a friend with a Hobart 4322 for sale. It has the 1/2 hp motor but I haven’t seen it in person yet.

If you are going to do any stuffing, especially the small casing stuff, you’ll want the foot switch. Sticks would be a royal pain with anything larger than a #8 grinder and would probably be a miserable experience with even a #8. I have a #5 LEM stuffer and its a workhorse that saves a whole lot more time than trying to stuff of a grinder. By purchasing an extra barrel, funnel screw and funnel set two people can crank out some serious sausage: 1 can be stuffing, the other re-filling the extra can.

I generally do two deer/year and have a #8 Big Bite. I grind everything, except meat aimed at cut jerky, and it doesn’t take but 20 minutes to double grind for hamburger ever.
