Mayfly Hatch?

    They hatched last night near Red Wing. Since I haven’t seen them before in Red Wing, I can’t compare to previous years. They were starting to pile up on the bridge even though it’s lights were shut off.

    Quite a few on the water – and on the sides of the trailer houses etc. – in Lake City area of Pepin yesterday (Sunday).

    …and we didn’t have squat on Sunday night on Trenton/Mud Lake. Might be because I had the fly rod along. doah

    The dead flies looked like an oil slick yesterday morning on Pepin. Shame on me for not taking a photo. Somehow we still managed a decent bite trolling cranks…
