Mayfly hatch

    Is the mayfly hatch over on pool 4 ? How do you fish and with what at this time ?

    As of last night no. There were HUGE rafts of spinners on the water.

    I fish the same way I normally do, but that’s another fish so to speak.

    Saw a lot of dead ones at the 494 launch along shore saturday evening. Still was able to get a few fish to bite on crankbaits, leeches and crawlers.

    Mayflies have been out on p3/4 the last two weekends but very small hatches.

    We don’t even get a chance to taste them on the way in.
