Today I broke my second auger blade in a little over a year. They are the SM lazer blades. Is this an odd coincidence or a frequent issue?

An auger blade should never break. In all the years of ice fishing and all the holes I’ve punched I’ve never had it happen nor am I aware of it happening to anyone in my network of ice fishing buddies so I assume it is a very rare occurrence. I’d contact Strikemaster customer service and ask for free replacements. If you have the broken blades yet I highly doubt getting replacements will be an issue.
November 22, 2014 at 11:47 am #1475789Sounds great, I will contact them thank you! I have the first blade that broke but the second blade is in the bottom of URL ha. My auger cut surprisingly well the rest of the day with one blade!
