Anyone know of a shop that can do a master cylinder replacement on a Ranger trailer in the NE metro?

I have a shop that will attempt it, and found another that can do it(but has a two week wait). I’m trying to get it in in the next week and a half, which is probably going to be tough.

Anyone know a good trailer shop in the White Bear lake area? Or do you think this is a job worth attempting myself? I’ve watched a few videos and it doesn’t seem terrible, I just normally don’t like messing with brakes.

Trailer has a swing away tongue, and the model number on the Tie-Down master cylinder is 48756. I actually already have the new master cylinder and all the replacement parts/fasteners.

If you have the parts already, I’d say go for it. Take it apart carefully and put it all back together the way it came apart. Bleeding the brakes will likely be the toughest part and you will need a second person to help you with that. Look for a video on bleeding them from the manufacturer of the brake system that you have for guidance. If you can’t get it bled maybe it would be a shorter wait if all you need to do is hire someone to bleed the brakes?

The biggest hassle is the bleeding. There is a small tank for the fluid so it is really easy to run it dry and have to start over. Just refill every time or other time you open a bleeder, and you will be fine.
