When using the mast system with big boards do you have to have a bunch of line clips for say when you catch a fish (unclip) or check for weeds (unclip) or snag (unclip) or change baits (unclip). Or is there a way of bringing the line clips in when this happens. Any help is appreciated. Kris

A big bag of clips is the only way to to it.

What Joe said. Fish caught, missed, weeds, snags, or just slipping out in heavy current/waves will cause you to go through a lot of clips in a day of fishing.

Maybe there are certain situations to use them, but I find myself using the inlines almost exclusively.

Shower curtain rings, plastic pinch clothes pins, and a bag of rubber bands. $10. Rubber band stays on the line to get you set back. That’s how we roll!

I understand the curtain rings on the line with the clothes pin attached holding the line but where does the rubber band come into play? Also is the clothes pin strong enough for large 6-10″ baits?

Loop the rubber and inside itself around the fishing line. Then hook the rubber band into the clothes pin. It works like a mini snubber and also taddles on a white bass. If the band is stretched further than the others then you are pulling trash.

I bought my rings & clips on ebay. It took a while to come from China but the price was ridiculously lower than local shops.
