In need to pick the best minds in the fishing arena.

I need to replace a aerator pump that froze and broke. So I need to pull off a cover/screen that is held on by 4 screws. What is the best sealant to use keeping in mind this could (probably) happen again.

    Thanks

What 3m sealant do guys use to mount boards for their transducers?

Just wanna be sure I could remove this one if this happens again. I thought the 5200 was more permanent.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the responses!

There are 2 different sealants in the 3M 5200 family. One is a fast dry and the other slow dry. Use the fast dry if you think you will ever need to remove it. The fast dry will get harder and be a little more brittle as it ages

You are correct. 3M 4200 is used when disassembly is anticipated. 5200 fast or slow is permanent.

Goop marine or goop sportsman. Both work well and is removable if needed in the future.
